A Good Scare: The Redemptive Ghost Stories of Russell Kirk

October 31, 2007

File-9

Since it’s October 31st, I’ve got a treat for you 😉 It seemed like the perfect time to write a book review of one of my favorite books I read last year – Russell Kirk’s “Ancestral Shadows: An Anthology of Ghostly Tales”. I’m not one to read ghost stories, but Kirk was a Christian man who wrote intelligent ghost stories as an experiment in “recovering the moral order”. The stories deal with sin, redemption, judgement, grace, and their consequences – in this life and the next. Plus they’re just good clean fun. You can read the review at www.therabbitroom.com
