The art of listening to the silence

Wendell Berry

Wendell Berry

I just posted a new piece in the rabbit room.  A friend of mine, knowing that I’ve battled with writer’s block over the last year, sent me a poem by one of my favorite writers, Wendell Berry, about writing poetry.  It’s short and sweet and whether you’re a poet or not, this quietly powerful little piece can speak to you.  I hope you’ll check it out!  Here’s the link

Also, we’ve started a book discussion list on my message boards and want you to be a part of it!  Get to your bookstore or library and pick up Frederick Buechner’s “Secrets In The DarK”, read the chapter “Faith & Fiction” – I’d love to have you join us.  Buechner is my favorite author and one of the most acclaimed novelist/theologians of our time.  His work is fresh, unexpected, insightful, and inspiring.  He’s pretty much the bomb.org (I think bomb.com was already taken ;-).  Click here to go to my message boards
